New England and the state of Connecticut have a lovely new acquisition to talk about--Fox Hopyard. Located in East Haddam, near the renowned Devil's Hopyard State Park, Fox Hopyard is located in one of the East Coast's most scenic and historic areas--the lower Connecticut River Valley.

Planned with Nature in Mind
Right from the beginning, Fox Hopyard was planned to take advantage of the property's natural and scenic qualities. Special care was taken in the design and building of the golf course to protect sensitive ecological areas and to provide dramatic, scenic vistas of the course and valley.

The 230 acres of permanently protected conservation land provides homeowners with scenic trails for hiking and bird watching. The course's 237 acres encompass the par-71 course, plus a practice range, richly appointed clubhouse with full service restaurant, pro shop, and two all-weather tennis courts. 

The clubhouse overlooks a pond and the 18th green.

The clubhouse is elevated above a three-acre pond with additional views of the driving range and several golf holes.

An Attractive Location
Fox Hopyard is located in the scenic and historic lower Connecticut River Valley. Nearby local attractions include the Goodspeed Opera House, the Florence Griswold Museum, Mystic Marinelife Aquarium, Mystic Seaport, and many state parks that offer miles of hiking and other outdoor recreation. 

The pro shop has all you need to be outfitted for the course.

The community further benefits from its easy access to Interstate 95 and Amtrak. Hartford's and Providence's international airports are both within an hour's drive. If you like beaches, there are two state beaches within a half-hour drive and boating is available in nearby Essex Village and Old Saybrook.
